Over the past few years, the AOS has become my primary scientific society and it has played a big role in my professional growth by providing me with a lot of skills as well as a forum to make meaningful contributions.

Scientific research goals and achievements: My long-term research goal is to study fitness benefits of communication networks on avian populations and impacts of noise on them. I received a Scientific Product Grant from Wildlife Acoustics for this research. I received a Travel Grant in support of diversity and inclusion for AOS 2025 Annual Meeting.
Fun fact: I love penguins; I can talk about them for hours!
Why have you chosen to be a member of the AOS?
I first became a member of the AOS to present my research at the conference. Then I joined Student Affairs Committee to connect with other students. Over the past few years, the AOS has become my primary scientific society and it has played a big role in my professional growth by providing me with a lot of skills as well as a forum to make meaningful contributions.
